PimEyes vs TryFaceSearch: what each search covers

Public web sources and crawl scope

PimEyes describes an open-web index excluding social networks. TryFaceSearch’s online index is not connected in this preview. Private accounts are outside the intended scope.

Result access, one-off checks vs recurring subscriptions

Review current access limits before purchasing any tool. TryFaceSearch has no active checkout or paid plan in this build. PimEyes publishes subscriptions and a one-search option on its pricing page.

How we compared the tools (Methodology, test set, network, date)

Documentation was reviewed on 20 October 2026. No controlled photo benchmark has been run. A future test must publish permitted image provenance, consent, dataset date, size, network conditions, model versions, relevance labeling, median/P95 latency and false positives. No speed or accuracy advantage is claimed.

Who should choose each tool

PimEyes may suit users who need its documented public-web service today and accept its policies. TryFaceSearch currently supports local preview only. Compare real source usefulness and data handling once its search integration is available, without treating either service as identity proof.

A visual match indicates facial similarity on public web pages; it is not definitive proof of identity.
